★Furen Stalactite Grotto★

Furen Stalactite Grotto is a breathtaking limestone cave designated as a Natural Monument. Discovered in 1926, this 500-meter-long cave features stunning formations such as Ryugu Castle, Zuiun Falls, and Heavenly Realm, each shaped by thousands of years of natural artistry. With its pristine white stalactites and serene underground atmosphere, the grotto offers a mesmerizing journey.



★Mt. Chinnan★

Mt. Chinnan is a scenic peak standing at 536 meters, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape and coastline. Known as a beloved hiking destination, it features well-maintained trails suitable for various skill levels. The mountain is home to several shrines, adding a spiritual touch to the journey. Throughout the year, visitors can enjoy seasonal flora, including rare wildflowers, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers.


★Fugenji Temple★

Fugenji Temple is a historic Rinzai Zen temple founded in 1294. Though it suffered damage during the Ōtomo-Shimazu conflict, it was restored in 1647 and remains a significant cultural site. In autumn, its 200 maple trees create a stunning display of red and gold, attracting visitors for seasonal illuminations and events.




★Hakubakei Gorge★

Designated as a scenic spot in 1978, it features eight stone bridges, winding paths, a beautiful pond, and red and gold maple leaves.

In 1833, local people enshrined a divine spirit from Ise Shrine’s Outer Shrine, creating a place of worship within the gorge. This spiritual connection adds to Hakubakei’s historical and cultural significance.



★Kinmei Moso Bamboo★

Kinmei Moso Bamboo is a rare and visually striking variety of Moso bamboo, discovered in 1970 as a natural mutation. Its unique feature is the alternating green and golden-yellow bands at each node, creating a beautiful contrast. This bamboo grove, designated as a protected forest, has grown to include hundreds of trees, making it a fascinating sight for visitors.



★Kicchomu Land★

Kicchomu Land is a spacious recreational park named after Kicchomu-san, a legendary figure known for his witty folk tales. Covering 150,000 square meters, the park features a multi-purpose sports field, making it a popular destination for outdoor activities.

In spring, 2,000 cherry trees bloom, transforming the park into a stunning Hanami spot. Families and visitors can enjoy picnics, seasonal festivals, and scenic walks.



★Usuki Stone Buddha Park

Usuki Stone Buddha Park is a serene cultural site adjacent to the National Treasure Usuki Stone Buddhas. Known for its seasonal beauty, the park features vibrant flowers throughout the year, with lotus blossoms in July and August creating a breathtaking scene reminiscent of paradise.

In 2007, the park received 50 stone monuments inscribed with the words of historical figures, a gift from Dunhuang City, China, Usuki’s sister city. These inscriptions offer moments of contemplation amid the lush greenery.
